Father Son Relationship

Fathers have played their own important role in the lives of their children. In a way, the father son relationship is quite different from the father-daughter relationship, as sons are representations and visions of them, which they tend to, hone and mold the way they would have with themselves. Although a father's intentions of the "strong-macho" image of dealing with the challenges and frustrations of everyday life are purely good, sometimes fathers forget that there are more important things to teach their sons than the mere details of not being "wimpy".

Father-Daughter Relationship

"The most important thing that a father can do for his children is to love their mother". Our society doesn't frown on daddies who think that changing diapers are a mother's thing. But children should feel that their fathers are as involved in their family as their mothers are.

Mother-Daughter Relationship

Me, myself, and my mother...From the time a girl is born until she becomes twelve, her mother is basically the only person that matters. Her mother is a fairy godmother in the flesh. You envision yourself becoming like her when you grow up. But the mother-daughter relationship is bound to have rifts sometimes.

Sibling Relationship

The relationship between brothers and sisters are an essential part of children's daily life. Some sibling relationships are filled with so much rivalry that parents would often ask themselves why their kids can't simply get along. The tiring teasing, squabbling, competing, and constant annoyance among their kids can't seem to stop, and sometimes parents do get exhausted of them. However, the endless fighting is not an indication that children are not getting along; the conflict is in fact a part of a sibling relationship, which illustrates that they DO get along through establishing differences, airing emotions, and testing their authority with a recognizable kin adversary.
